Projects completed from 2003 to the present, using a variety of technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, as well as others now obsolete, like Macromedia Flash.
I currently develop both static and dynamic websites, with a preference for the WordPress and Drupal CMS platforms. I also work with e-commerce plugins such as WooCommerce, and create small animations and interactive effects using either pure JavaScript or advanced libraries like Three.js and P5.js.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bit of history\u2026
Over the past 20 years, the world of web design has undergone numerous \u2014 and in some cases, truly drastic \u2014 changes. One of the most significant was the phasing out of Flash, a tool once beloved by designers and developers, which fell out of favor after Apple decided not to support the technology on the iPhone.
Flash allowed for precise animation work and delivered a consistent visual experience across different devices. However, it also posed significant security risks: since it was encrypted, it wasn\u2019t always possible to know exactly what kind of code was being executed in the browser.
With Flash disappearing and the rise of smart devices \u2014 such as phones and tablets \u2014 along with the increasing variety of screen sizes in laptops and desktop computers, it became essential to rethink the graphic design of websites to adapt to this new reality.
In this context, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript began to take center stage. CSS, a set of rules adopted by browsers, was initially quite limited, which restricted the aesthetic possibilities of websites. However, in recent years it has evolved significantly thanks to the addition of new features and the development of libraries and frameworks that allow for truly responsive and flexible designs.
Of course, this progress comes at a cost: a certain level of visual standardization. The need for websites to be accessible, lightweight, fast, and optimized for search engines has made it more difficult to create unique, striking, and low-cost websites like those that were possible in the Flash era.
The upside is that, although some of that visual flair has been sacrificed, we\u2019ve gained greater control over how websites look and function across devices. And thanks to tools like the WordPress block editor, users can now not only upload content, but also take part in the design of their sites \u2014 adjusting visual aspects without needing advanced technical knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
